Drink your fruit & veggies

These drinks will give you your daily dose of veggies and fruit without the cooking!

Prickly pear cocktail
Pear cocktails. Yes, they are blissful and we probably don’t need to explain why. If you are a pear lover that is… Now it is our favourite, but do not fear. We still have flings with champagne!
Makes 2 drinks
Ingredients:
• 1 pear, peeled & chopped, plus slices for garnish
• 15ml honey
• 1/2 lime, juiced
• 90ml bourbon
• ice cubes
• 180ml ginger ale, chilled
Method:
In a cocktail shaker, muddle the pear, honey and lime juice. Add the bourbon, fill with ice and shake. Strain into 2 glasses. Top with ginger ale and garnish with pear slice.

Brunch in a glass

Bloody Mary’s are the perfect winter drink. And properly prepared and garnished, they could almost be brunch in a glass. Forget a limp celery stick and a feeble dribble of chili sauce … this tomato and vodka cocktail deserves to be the hero of the drinks tray. Add crab legs and salty bacon, grilled langos or prawns and hot chilli peppers, mini cheese toasties and sharp pickles. Rim the glass with black salt, add a generous squeeze of lemon and tuck in! For the perfect BM, you’ll obviously need tomato juice and excellent vodka (we swear by Beluga Vodka from Russia). But other absolute essentials are a generous splash of Tabasco and Worstershire Sauce, a dollop of horseradish, salt and freshly ground black pepper, and a tot of sherry.
